Who is Love Manasseh? If she could describe herself in three words, they would be adventurous, optimistic, and kind. She believes these stem from her firm belief and walk with God. She runs an organic and healthy beverage business that deals in well-nourished and rich mixtures of fruit and vegetable juices. She is a firm believer that one of the main problems we face as a community and in the world at large is poor or ineffective mentorship, which is why she is a part of the W.E Girls empowerment program. In the W.E. Girls space, every girl is equipped to live out their full potential unapologetically.

Is a result-driven, self-motivated, and resourceful individual with 15 years of experience in Community and Socioeconomic Development. She has a proven ability to conduct a community needs assessment and facilitate public participation and stakeholder engagement. Her experience in conducting detailed needs assessments through research and data collection has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities within different communities. She has honed her skills in identifying partners and communities in need of development interventions.

In addition to her bachelor’s in public administration, she possesses a Project Management Diploma and an Advanced Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation, which she applies to ensure project success and verify that projects stay on track and meet their objectives. These qualifications have provided her with a solid foundation in project planning, implementation and evaluation,

Over the years, she has perfected the ability to streamline project operations and ensure the delivery of the best possible support to the community. She is dedicated to proactively managing and resolving conflicts concerning social issues, by leveraging her experience in stakeholder engagement and public participation.

She is a forward-thinking capable and committed person, with a proven ability to define development methodologies, focus on tasks at hand, and able to utilize existing methodologies, technology, knowledge, and experience to come up with practical solutions and alternatives. Possessing excellent communication, and facilitation skills, and able to establish a sustainable and profitable relationship with partners and stakeholders.

Attorney, Clinical Social Worker & Professor, has resided in Ghana permanently since 2007.  She was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.  After spending several years in and out of various parts of the African continent, her family chose Ghana as their new home. She has experience and a strong commitment and interest in advocacy, social policy, higher education, mental health, and human rights. She is currently working as a writer and community volunteer after retiring as a Lecturer in the graduate school of the Department of Social Work at the University of Ghana-Legon in Spring 2024.  After a twenty-year career in the USA in Family Law, Drug Courts, Mentoring, Community Development, Child Welfare, and Higher Education, she moved to Ghana and continued working as a clinical social worker, policy consultant and Lecturer. She also served as the Resident Director for the University of California Education Abroad Program at the University of Ghana-Legon from 2011 to 2021. Rose also coordinated extensive fundraising and community development projects across six regions of Ghana as President of the Accra Foundation for Intercultural Communication & Awareness (AFRICA) from 1997-2014.  She served as a Board member of the West African Aids Foundation and the International Children’s Institute. She is a patron of Ujima Humanitarian, a development NGO in the Volta Region. She is a current member of the Ghana Association of Social Workers the Welfare and Wellness Committee of the African American Association of Ghana and the North American Women Association, and formerly served with the Institute of Social Workers.  Rose assisted with the national review and formal evaluations of Ghana & Constitutional Review and the National Health Insurance Scheme. She is a prolific researcher and writer and the author of ten books and numerous articles.

A mother to three daughters and works in the public sector. For over 10 years Danielle has participated in various community services throughout the Bay Area. In her free time, Danielle likes to read, try new food, and spend time with her family. Danielle holds a Master of Ethnic Studies and a BS from San Francisco State University. She is the daughter of a single-parent household and grew up in Oakland, CA.

Leila likes being happy, loves physical activity and being fit. She enjoys doing sports such as track and field and kung fu martial arts. When she grows up, she wants to be a firefighter in the Airforce. She loves the girl’s group because she loves making new friends and love to see how different people’s personalities and perspectives are of life in general. – We girls, We Twirl. 😊
